Library Liaison: Home

Library Liaison Program

Each academic area at Lander University is served by a professional librarian as part of the liaison program. This program provides a personal connection to the library for faculty and students in each discipline. In order to maintain and further develop library collections, each professional librarian is assigned liaison areas that coincide with academic departments or special programs. These subject liaison librarians review program areas regularly to insure collection relevancy and currency and are responsible for purchasing appropriate print and online research resources for their assigned departments in consultation with faculty and students through feedback and faculty informational meetings. Librarians provide collection development, reference assistance, and instruction for their assigned academic areas and they monitor the specific needs of each department through this library liaison program.

Library Liaisons by Academic Areas

In order to measure the appropriateness of information resources, and to ensure that the general collection supports the academic programs of the university, Lander University Library Services assigns a professional librarian liaison to all academic departments.
